History
Johnson moved to Nashville and laid low for about a year until he began attending songwriter nights. Here he met songwriter Randy Hardison who introduced Johnson to producer Buddy Cannon. Cannon introduced him to publisher Gary Overton who signed him to BNA. Johnson toured to promote his debut album The Dollar then went back to the studio to record his Rebelicious. This failed to even enter the charts so BNA dropped him. After divorcing from his wife Johnson went back into seclusion for a year. When he resurfaced two major labels were interested in signing him. He signed with Universal Imprint Mercury and released his second album That Lonesome Song in 2008.
